The dark web is basically a part of the World Wide Web which is not accessible through standard search engines such as Yahoo! or Google. Users who are trying to look up something will have to use the appropriate keywords in order for them to be able to locate certain information within the “real” world.
It may surprise some people to know that there are actually “dark net” networks which allow internet access using only digital means. These include anonymous browsing networks, Tor networks, and social networking networks. The dark web is usually referred to as the “underground” internet because it is not visible to search engines like the normal web. There is no point in having an internet connection if one does not want to be able to search for things on the Internet. For this reason, many people choose to remain anonymous when using the Internet.

Social media has become one of the most powerful ways of reaching out to and communicating with millions of potential customers worldwide. This is possible because these are created communities where people of different backgrounds and demographics can communicate. For example, if an advertiser wants to advertise his product to a specific group of people, they would do well to advertise on a social media network in which a wide range of demographics would be exposed to their ads.
